The Facts:

The Atlantic Rain Forest (in Brazil) is on the brink with only 7% of its original area remaining. This forest is one of the biggest and is considered one of the most endangered tropical Forests in the world. This forest helps regulate the atmosphere and it stabilizes global climate. Tropical Forest are the lungs of the earth, storing enormous amounts of carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen in a never ending cycle of life.

The Atlantic forest is home to 23 species of primates, 1000 species of birds and over 20,000 species of plants. Many of these amazing species are found nowhere else on earth.
